rosses point sligo to where ?

after our great night out we were shattered in the morning so it was 9am before we woke another late start ! sheila dropped me at the bottom of the road where i had cycled from on the previous day but it was 10:50 by the time i set of cycling with all the stuff we had to organise , the road i had to cycle through sligo was all sort of main roads with traffic lights 3 lanes big junctions so i opted to cycle mostly on the paths watching the signs , and ended up on the N5 which is a duel carriageway  that was ok the dual carriageways here have yellow markers at the side with wide borders for cyclist and tractors

the N5 lead to the N15 and the lovely big verges i was getting used to were lost it was single carriageway with no big inside lane for tractors and cyclists ,
I met sheila at 13:00 at a place called tobercurry after 24miles of cycling and we had a soup and sandwich in a nice italian cafe( the coffe doc) in the village square and restarted cycling again at 13:45
we met again at a place called claremorris at 16:00 and realised there was no way i would manage to cycle to galway that night , we parted company with a plan to meet again at a place called Tuam ,by the time i arrived there it was raining and it was 6pm enough for today

i went onto the hotel app on my phone and we booked a night at a hotel flahertys it was a nice big hotel with parking so we could get changed and head into galway for some food and beers ,
sheila brother knows galway wetland recommended we eat at mcswiggans which was excellent a lovely place great atmosphere band playing down stairs from the restaurant , our dinner was excellent its a real rabbits warren of a place inside

we then used sheila brothers knowledge of the area to find the best street for bars ( every city has one ) shop street is the place for bars in Galway that and eyre square we opted for his recommendation of sunny malones front door which was another great bar with an excellent band on  ,
after that we went to the quay's which was yet again another great suggestion the band in there were the best yet and we finished the night in there singing along to hey jude with the rest of the crowd a cracking night out galway is a fun city for sure up there with my favourites to visit ,
